Review: I Love You But I’ve Chosen Darkness – “Fear Is On Our Side”

Oh, Morrissey and Robert Smith, what legacy have you left us?

Another band tries its hand at fey 80’s-conscious guitar-pop and crafts songs that feel either familiar or stale. The Austin, Texas outfit fares better, if only slightly, when it pays homage to he dark chamber dramas of Thin White Rope or peppers choruses with glassy guitars.

Favorite track: “At Last Is All”

Grade: C- Jetty, Spring 2006
